County staff described a property exchange with the Dickson County Water Authority to complete required water work for a sprinkler system at the county’s new highway department and ambulance facility.
The county said the water authority will perform the work if the county provides one acre of property at the corner of 2 Mile Road and Hoover Road (land acquired earlier in relation to the county fuel terminal). County staff said the authority has identified the parcel as a desirable future tank site but does not plan immediate construction; the exchange is for the authority to do the water hookup work while the county will buy materials.
Commissioner Beatty moved and Commissioner Ledger seconded to place the finalized agreement on the regular session agenda for formal consideration. The motion carried by voice vote. The work session advanced the proposed exchange; staff said details of the agreement would be returned for commission action at the regular meeting.
