Commissioners table replacement of courthouse camera server pending vendor pricing

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — Wagoner County commissioners on Oct. 6 tabled a request to replace a courthouse camera video server that communications staff said is roughly 10 years old and beyond its recommended replacement cycle.
Communications director Mark Ketchum told the board the server was installed in a closet without backup power or proper rack mounting and that the county's goal is to consolidate cameras onto a single platform to reduce licensing and network load. The estimated one-time replacement cost presented to the board was roughly $35,000, and Ketchum said licensing is the largest component of the quoted price.
Commissioners asked staff to seek competitive pricing from county procurement channels (including CDW) and to return with alternatives; the board voted to table the item pending that additional pricing and procurement review. No replacement work was authorized at the Oct. 6 meeting.
