Oste told the council the committee runs a mentorship program and an Artist Recovery Act initiative that provides assistance to artists. "I was ill last year for couldn't work for about 6 months, and that saw me through it," Oste said, describing personal assistance the Artist Recovery Act provided during her illness.
Committee members said the mentorship and learning programs are helping people learn traditional arts and strengthen cultural transmission. The council offered thanks and had no substantive follow-up questions recorded during the report.
