Commission appoints Danelle Wasden to new Bear River behavioral health advisory council

The Rich County Commission approved naming Danelle Wasden as the county’s representative to the Bear River behavioral health advisory council for a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
Josh (county staff) told commissioners he had spoken with Wasden and with local school district leadership; Superintendent Lamborn recommended Wasden, who currently works as a school counselor. Josh said the council will meet quarterly and will include representatives from Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties along with education, law enforcement and university partners.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the appointment by voice vote. Staff said the council is newly created under an interlocal agreement and will advise counties on area planning and implementation of behavioral-health services.
