Board OKs Veterans Day parade route, Steinberger material storage and an Industrial Boulevard street cut

The Logansport City Board of Public Works and Safety approved three street-closure requests on Nov. 5, including a Veterans Day parade, a temporary parking-lot closure for Steinberger Construction, and an Industrial Boulevard street cut for drainage repair.
Mayor Chris Martin said the Veterans Day parade is scheduled for Nov. 11 from about 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., closing Broadway from 7th to 3rd (and related streets on the typical parade route). "It'd be on November 11 from 09:30 to 11," the presenter said. The board approved that closure unanimously.
An initial Steinberger Construction closure request was tabled because the application lacked a specific date and required state approval. After staff and the company coordinated, the board later approved a Steinberger parking-lot closure to store construction materials during a work window.
Staff also added a last-minute request for a curb cut/street cut on Industrial Boulevard to replace drainage tile in a short section between Logan Stamping's and BHG. The board approved a one-day closure for the work, which staff said would be done Saturday the 8th from about 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Ending The board asked staff to continue coordinating with applicants to minimize disruption during events and construction; the approved closures include both scheduled ceremonial uses and short-term construction needs.
