The Azusa Unified School District Board of Education on Nov. 4 approved a series of labor and compensation items, including tentative agreements with represented employee groups and contract adjustments for district administrators.
The board approved tentative agreements with the Azusa Educators Association, the Federation of Adult Educators and the California School Employees Association (CSEA) by recorded votes (motions and seconds were taken on the consent items). The student board member recorded a preference; board votes were unanimous where reported.
Separately, the board approved a 1.75% base-salary increase effective Jan. 1, 2026, for assistant superintendents and the superintendent, and an increase of $2,500 in the district contribution to health and welfare benefits or a tax-sheltered annuity (where applicable). Individual contract amendments were read on the record and each passed 5-0: assistant superintendent of business services, assistant superintendent of educational services, assistant superintendent of human resources, and the superintendent.
Board members filed the required Brown Act oral summaries for executive-salary changes before taking final action. No additional conditions or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes; the district will implement the adjustments per the approved contract language.
