Master-plan concept for Kiwanis Park due in November; public meetings to follow, commission says

A Kiwanis Park representative reported 105 total season memberships so far in 2025, 919 membership scans and an estimated 5,000 total visitors including library story time and summer camp events. Staff said accurate historic comparison data were not available.
Commissioners described the planning process with consultant Keith Simpson and associates. Simpson observed park use over the summer and intends to present a concept to the commission and subcommittee in November. Hank and Tim said the subcommittee meetings and the subsequent full-commission presentations are public and will be posted; neighbors and other members of the public can attend and provide input prior to any commission action.
A neighbor asked about inclusion in the process and access to drafts; commissioners reiterated that public attendance is welcome, that the November concept presentation will be posted, and that subcommittee meetings are open to the public.
