The Gunnison Civic Library Board of Directors unanimously appointed Tanesha Heath to the board to represent Mayfield during its regular meeting Monday evening. The board moved into a brief executive session before returning to open session and taking the vote.
Board Chair Thom Stafford called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and conducted roll call. Present were Library Director Carolyn Childs and board members Tanesha Heath, Jenny Anderson, Marci Childs, Karen Donaldson, Stella Hill, Rachael Larson, Kristi Jensen, and Thom Stafford.
During discussion of new board membership, Stafford and others noted Heaths background in education and literacy as a qualification for the seat. The board then moved into executive session; no substantive details from that closed session appear in the open minutes.
After returning to the open meeting, Stella Hill moved to appoint Tanesha Heath to the board; Karen Donaldson seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The board recorded the appointment in the meeting minutes and moved on to other agenda items.
