City of Lacey staff reminded residents that the city's mandatory odd-even watering schedule is in effect through Sept. 30.

Under the schedule, addresses that end in an odd number may water on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday; addresses that end in an even number may water on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. No watering is allowed on Fridays to allow city reservoirs to replenish.

Staff said the schedule helps manage demand and keep costs down during hot weather. Exemptions are available in some cases and residents were directed to the city's odd-even watering web page for details and eligibility information.
