City seeks community input on Carbon Neutrality Plan update; survey open through Nov. 14

City sustainability staff told the Flagstaff City Council work session on Oct. 28 that the city is soliciting community feedback for an update to its Carbon Neutrality Plan. Jenny Nieman, Climate Action Section Director in the city's Sustainability Office, said the update will "improve the plan, elevate adaptation and equity priorities, and reflect our progress," and invited residents to complete a short online survey on the Connect Flagstaff platform that closes Friday, Nov. 14.
Nieman said staff held three open houses and used the Connect Flagstaff engagement platform; the update is intended to incorporate community priorities on climate impacts and local adaptation. She asked residents to use the survey to describe their concerns about climate change, priorities for local action and how they would like to participate at the neighborhood level. The survey web address and how to find the form on a Google search were provided during the presentation.
