At the start of the Feb. 20, 2025, meeting, Chairman Hoggle told the Industrial Development Board of the City of East Ridge that this would be his last meeting on the board because of a city statutory change that limits service to a single board.
Hoggle said he chose to remain on the planning commission and noted other members also are affected by the change. He advised the board it will need to elect a new chairperson at a future meeting. "There will be a couple of changes. You'll need to elect a new chairperson," Hoggle said.
Board members noted procedural steps (submitting resignation letters) and the chairman thanked Councilwoman Witt for nominating him earlier in his service. The meeting proceeded to new business after the announcement, and the board completed its agenda before adjourning.
