Greer County Excise Board unanimously approves fiscal carryforward and resale fund transfer

The Greer County Excise Board unanimously approved several routine fiscal actions at a special meeting July 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Chairman Lee Sparkman and members Bryant Reeves and Steve Martin were present.
Bryant Reeves moved to approve carrying unencumbered balances from fiscal year 2024-2025 to fiscal year 2025-2026; Steve Martin seconded. The motion carried unanimously with Reeves, Martin and Sparkman voting “Aye.”
The board then approved a transfer described in the minutes as “Excess Resale to Resale.” Reeves made the motion and Martin seconded; the vote was recorded as unanimous. The minutes do not list dollar amounts for the transfer.
Reeves moved to approve the minutes from the July 7, 2025 regular meeting. Martin seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
There was no new business. Reeves moved to adjourn and Martin seconded; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The minutes were later approved on Aug. 4, 2025 and attested by County Clerk Tiffany Buchanan.
