The Michigan House of Representatives failed to achieve a quorum and was adjourned until Thursday, July 24 at 12:00 noon, the presiding officer announced.
The clerk told members that certain House bills had been reproduced and made available electronically on Tuesday, July 22, although the transcript records the starting bill number only and the end of the range was not specified. The clerk also announced two upcoming subcommittee meetings: the House oversight subcommittee on state and local public assistance programs will meet Thursday, July 24 at 9 a.m. in Room 326 of the House Office Building; and the House Appropriations subcommittee on state and local transportation will meet Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at Macomb Community College in Clinton Township.
The clerk read a communication from the secretary of state reporting an administrative-rules filing, identified in the meeting as 25-206-05, for the Department of State entitled "Lobbyist Registration and Reporting." The notice was entered on the record under the communications item.
Because a quorum was not present, the presiding officer said the House would stand adjourned and no further business was conducted; no votes or formal motions were recorded in the session.
The session lasted roughly two to three minutes on the record; the House will reconvene on the date announced by the presiding officer.
