Wake Forest honors parade volunteers and retiring firefighter with resolutions of appreciation

The board also commended Laurie (Lori) Bridal for serving as "Lady Liberty" and contributing volunteer time to the July events. Both resolutions were read into the record and made part of the town's permanent records.
The board also adopted a resolution honoring firefighter Randy Waffenbarger, who has served with Wake Forest fire services since Aug. 25, 2008, and as a full-time employee since then; the resolution noted more than 17 years of service and retirement planned for Sept. 1. Commissioners and audience members thanked the honorees; the recognized individuals declined extensive remarks.
