A motion to approve the June 16 minutes was moved and seconded and the council voted in favor. Later, a council member moved to excuse Steve from the meeting because he was on vacation; the motion was seconded and carried.
During "around the room" remarks, the mayor asked for a motion to go into executive session to "consider negotiations with other political subdivisions respecting possible investment or expenditure of public funds to be made in connection with an economic development project." The council voted to enter executive session and a member asked that Derek Schultz and Wes be included in the session; the request was made part of the motion and recorded before the vote.
