Grady County commissioners set FY2025-26 use-tax split, reserve flexibility for hospital

Commissioner Ruth Bingham made the motion and Commissioner Gary Bray seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioners said the hospital's chief executive officer may request adjustments to the allocation if additional funding is needed.
The allocation directs most use-tax revenue to capital projects but keeps a portion for ongoing dispatch operations and a set share for the hospital. The board did not specify the projected dollar amount tied to these percentages at the meeting.
The approval came amid other budget and procurement business on the agenda, including authorizations for purchase orders and appropriations for multiple county funds.
