Miss Burrows presented a multiyear exterior restoration package for the Lyceum Theater that uses a 1:1 federal match through Save America’s Treasures and New Mexico Main Street funds. The proposed first phase covers exterior work and is estimated at about $608,000 for roofing, drainage, exterior stucco repairs, tile work and marquee restoration. WWRC would perform roofing and exterior repairs under a statewide price agreement addendum; SkyRight would restore the marquee.
Burrows said the project requires compliance with federal rehabilitation standards, temporary east Main Street closures during work and coordination with architects and contractors. The commission moved to approve the addendum and amendment; the motion passed unanimously. Staff said a start date had not yet been set and that WWRC’s schedule and other projects would determine timing; a meeting with architects and the contractor was scheduled to refine start dates.
