The Grove City Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend City Council approve Autumn Grove Section 6, Plat 1, a subdivision that finalizes the configuration of Section 6, Phase 1 with 44 lots and two reserves on 24.353 acres.
Development Department staff told commissioners the plat, originally approved in 2022 at the preliminary level, establishes 44 lots, dedicates right-of-way for new roads and roadway extensions, and creates two reserve areas. One reserve will contain existing streams and proposed ponds; a second reserve along Ranch Road is shown to contain a shared-use path. Staff said all proposed lots meet the lot-size requirements of the applicable zoning code and recommended the Planning Commission recommend approval to City Council.
The applicant presented a name and address at the podium and declined further comments during the hearing. The commission asked questions about connectivity and path construction; staff said the applicant indicated they will complete the path along the entire length of Ranch Road and connect it to the existing path installed with Autumn Grove Section 1. No members of the public spoke during the public-comment period.
A motion to recommend approval to City Council was made and seconded; the motion passed on a roll-call vote. Chair Oster voted "yes," Mr. Farnsworth voted "yes," Mr. Titus voted "yes," Mr. Roach voted "yes," and Ms. Wendlinger voted "yes." The motion record did not specify the moving and seconding members by name in the transcript.
City Council will receive the Planning Commission's recommendation for formal action at a future meeting.
