County approves consent agenda and multiple procurement renewals, exemptions and facility projects

At its Dec. 3 meeting, Denton County Commissioners Court approved the consent agenda and a set of procurement actions recommended by county staff and purchasing.

The consent agenda included payroll approval and recording of the October 2024 Road Superintendent Reports. The court then approved the bill report, and a series of contract renewals and purchases through cooperative purchasing agreements and Department of Information Resources contracts, including a SailPoint change order, annual ESRI subscriptions and support, NetApp warranty extension ($64,258.97), Quest Change Auditor maintenance ($67,627.50), and renewal of core software through a DIR cooperative contract (estimated $100,000). The court also approved an exemption from bidding for contingency mosquito fogging services and a vendor for repair of a milling machine, and awarded a contract to G2 General Contractors for renovation of shower floors at the Charlie J. Co. building for $124,611.46.

All procurement items on the agenda were moved, seconded and approved by unanimous vote as recorded in the transcript. Where the transcript included statutory citations for exemptions, it referenced a local government code provision for procurement exemptions. The court noted that departments had been consulted for budget and service continuity in approving these items.
