Munson Park lift station complete; staff to solicit new restroom bids

Parks staff told the City of Denison Parks Commission that the Munson Park lift station is complete and the sewer line has been tied into city sewer services.
"The lift station has been complete and the sewer line has been tied into city services," a Parks staff member said during the meeting.
Staff said the city originally planned to procure a preconstructed restroom through a BuyBoard vendor, but that vendor was dropped because of a lack of communication and transparency. Staff said they will instead advertise for quotes for a restroom similar to the Forest Park restroom and expect to put together the request for quotes within the next several weeks.
No commissioners raised substantive questions during the update. Staff said they will return with bid information and next steps once responses have been evaluated.
