At the Aug. 12 meeting the commission received several staff updates from Miss York about recent City Council actions and an upcoming workshop.
York said City Council on Aug. 4 approved the annexation and commercial zoning of a property off Texoma Parkway and that the applicant is moving forward with planning and site-plan applications. "The annexation was approved. The commercial zoning was approved. So they are moving forward with the additional applications, planning, and site plan that they need for that property," York said.
York also reported that two conditional use permits were approved by council: an auto repair facility on Austin and an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on Munson. York said staff met with consultant Phyllis Jarrell to prepare documents for a workshop on residential architectural standards; Jarrell is expected to provide materials to commissioners before the workshop so members have time to review and prepare questions. York said the workshop is anticipated in September.
No formal action was required on the staff updates; they were informational. The commission adjourned at 10:09 a.m.
