Delaware County commissioners approve routine claims, payroll affidavits and multiple administrative actions

The Delaware County Board of County Commissioners took a series of routine actions by unanimous roll-call votes during its Aug. 26 regular session. Commissioners David Poindexter (chair) and David Beck (member) voted yes on each recorded motion; Commissioner Jake Callihan was absent.

Actions recorded in the minutes include determinations and approvals required under county procedure and the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act; approval of minutes from the Aug. 19 regular meeting; payment of claims across multiple county departments for fiscal years 2024–25 and 2025–26 (the certified claims list presented to the board names dozens of vendors and amounts); authorization to sign payroll affidavits for the Aug. 29 payroll; and approval to hear a human-resources report from Vicki Cossairt.

The board also approved a permit for a "See You At The Pole" prayer service on the courthouse lawn Sept. 24 at 6 p.m., and approved disposal or surplus of county assets, including two Health Department laser printers (Inventory #SI-220.7 and #SI-220.9), a 2016 Ford Explorer (Inventory #B-302.6) for the sheriff's office, and a NUC computer tower (Inventory #C-216.50) for the treasurer's office. The meeting adjourned at 9:33 a.m.
