Delaware County HR reports 134 employees, CDL training underway and five full-time openings

Human Resources Director Vicki Cossairt told the Delaware County Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 26 that the county employed 134 people.
Cossairt reported two new hires since last week and no recent terminations. She said six employees are attending commercial driver-license (CDL) school that will finish Saturday and that the trainees will be tested the following Saturday. The county has five full‑time job openings, Cossairt said.
Cossairt also said there have been some reported cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County and urged employees to continue handwashing and social distancing. She thanked county staff who will work during the upcoming Labor Day holiday.
The board voted to hear the report by roll call; Commissioners Poindexter and Beck voted yes.
