The Tippecanoe County Drainage Board approved three routine items by voice vote: a petition from CenterPoint Energy for a subsurface gas main encroachment, a residential encroachment for a single-family home on the Blick and John Blick county-regulated drain, and a rescheduling of the October drainage board meeting to Oct. 8 due to a scheduling conflict.
Staff recommended approval of the CenterPoint Energy petition, describing the work as a subsurface gas main along the south side of McCarty Lane just east of Creasy Lane under the Treece Meadows relief drain. Following a motion and second, the board approved the encroachment.
Staff also recommended approval of a residential encroachment at County Road 900 South and County Road 500 East, noting the perimeter drain outlet will daylight into an open ditch; the board approved that petition after a motion and second.
Finally, staff said the previously posted October meeting date must be moved because of the Association of Indiana Counties annual conference; a motion to move the meeting from Oct. 1 to Oct. 8 was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The transcript records motions, seconds, and voice votes but does not include roll-call tallies or named vote records for these items.
