The City of Grand Prairie Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the detailed site plan for PROS Westcliff Phase 2, a multifamily development consisting of eight buildings and 300 units, during the July 28 meeting.
Jim, planning staff, said the Phase 2 plan follows the concept plan previously adopted by City Council and places the new buildings directly east of Phase 1, which is under construction. The proposal includes a clubhouse, pocket park, pool and pickleball courts and meets the PD and city development standards, including parking, landscaping and tree mitigation requirements. Staff reported the elevations are similar to Phase 1 with a different color palette and that the applicant requested no variances.
No public speakers registered opposition; staff and the applicant answered commission questions. Commissioner Michelle Madden, whose district includes the project, moved to close the public hearing and approve the site plan (SDP25-06-0018); Commissioner Frank Gonzales seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The approval allows the applicant to proceed with final plan submittals and permits in accordance with the PD and the conditions embedded in the development standards.
