Commissioners convert Precinct 3 foreman position to Operator II in personnel budget

The Henderson County Commissioners Court voted to amend the Road & Bridge Precinct 3 personnel budget to change a foreman position to an Operator II position.
The presenting commissioner explained that during last year’s budget they created superintendent positions and that the superintendent now functions as shop manager; the commissioner said he does not plan to fill a foreman position while the current structure remains. Commissioners discussed that a successor might later restore the foreman position but that the present amendment removes the foreman slot from the current personnel plan.
Commissioner McCann moved and Commissioner Richardson seconded the motion to approve the amendment; the motion passed unanimously.
