The City Council approved a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Glendora Police Management Association (PMA) that runs through June 30, 2028. Human Resources staff summarized the principal terms: a wage increase schedule (2.5% effective July 1 of the first two years and 2% in the third year), an increase in the cafeteria plan benefit by $150 (raising the monthly cafeteria allowance), a $750 annual shooting bonus for members who qualify (qualification defined in the MOU), a deferred‑compensation match of $50 per paycheck (up to $1,200 annually), and a new 10‑year longevity tier (monthly supplement) for employees who had not previously qualified under a 15‑year threshold.
Assistant Human Resources Director Rita Wendling presented the terms and told council the association membership voted to ratify the package. The MOU also increases flat post-certification pay for supervisory and management levels. Staff estimated the total three‑year fiscal impact of the agreement at about $1.6 million. The council voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
The MOU will be implemented through payroll changes and budget adjustments consistent with the city's labor and budget practices. Council discussion was brief and supportive; no amendments were offered at the meeting.
