The Shenendehowa Central School District Board of Education approved its consent agenda, which included the treasurer’s report, minutes from prior meetings, annual appointments and authorizations, bank depositories, employee bonding, compensation and fee schedules, and facility-use fees.
Several contracts and renewals were approved, covering student nutrition bids, information-management services (IMS) contracts, special-education service contracts and a move to new vendor arrangements for employee assistance (EAP) services. The board also approved tuition and service contracts that support special-education placements and programming.
The board voted to approve a memorandum of understanding with the town for a proposed path linking the town center, a small parcel near the library and school property. That MOU passed with five members in favor and one abstention. The board approved a capital-project change order and multiple contract renewals by unanimous voice vote (minutes record six in favor for those items).
The meeting record shows the board also approved ratification of the teachers’ association agreement (STA) and several staffing items including retirements and the appointment of Kevin Donato as a district art teacher beginning Sept. 1.
