Jeff Taylor presented the July budget amendments as a first read, saying most changes realign federal amendments to match entries in the district ePlan and reappropriate capital project funds previously approved by the county commission. Taylor stated that "$4,800,000 of that was cut, and we have the $6,000,000 in there for the fiscal year." The presentation did not include additional detail about which capital projects were altered in the cut; those items were described as reappropriations approved by the county commission.
Separately, the middle school wrestling budget amendment (Item 4) was introduced but board member Mister Mabry asked to delay action. "I'm gonna push this until next month, pending what we find out on the federal level," Mabry said. The item was not adopted at this meeting.
No formal vote was recorded on the July amendments at this session; the budget items were presented for first reading. Staff indicated they will proceed with reallocation and prepare any required amendments in coordination with county approvals and pending federal guidance.
