Farmers Branch library board reports record card signups and rising program attendance

The board credited expanded programming, the full build‑out of the Innovation Zone, and active outreach (seasonal events, Santa & Cookies, and community tabling) for the gains.
The board described ongoing efforts to reach underserved populations and to coordinate with other city boards for outreach at citywide events. Board members also noted their volunteer work at library events and provided examples of community programs including a summer reading series and the Jólabókaflóð book drive that collects gently used books for hospital patients.
