A committee member who works at Metro said the parks and nature team is the division purchasing the parcel. Committee members said the property is outside Estacada's urban growth boundary and city limits but argued the city should still identify itself as an impacted stakeholder and ask to be included in engagement, particularly because some residents would be affected by the land use and any future plans.
Staff said they would include a note about the parcel in the staff report that accompanies the new committee‑member recommendations for the Jan. 13 council packet so city staff and the council are aware and can pursue stakeholder input as appropriate.
Committee members discussed possible outreach partners including the Springwater Grange and county interlocutors and noted that Metro will be required to engage impacted stakeholders during its process.
No formal action beyond the staff direction to note the parcel for council awareness was taken during the meeting.
