On capital projects, the board received bid results for middle-school and Laketown Elementary parking-lot work and approved awards as recommended by staff. The middle-school package and alternates were recommended to Bituminous Roadways; the Laketown Elementary award was recommended to Minnesota Roadways. The board approved the awards by voice vote.
The board also authorized staff to proceed with an E-Rate application and initial bid process for network switches. Finance staff said the district has a potential E-Rate funding eligibility of roughly $454,875; the program is a reimbursement mechanism and requires timely application and procurement steps to preserve the funding window. The authorization does not obligate the district to spend the full amount, but it permits bids and application filings to keep options open.
Other routine business approved by voice vote included the agenda and minutes, and the consent agenda (which listed donations and scholarship gifts to district programs).
