Ross council approves two design‑review projects, adds senior accountant and authorizes chamber upgrades

On administrative matters the council adopted Resolution No. 2502 to add a full‑time senior accountant position to the number of authorized administrative staff and authorized the town manager to begin recruitment. Town Manager Johnson told the council the annual cost of the new position is estimated at about $150,000 to $174,000, including salary and benefits; the current fiscal year will absorb partial costs and the FY2025–26 budget will reflect the full annual expense.
The council also authorized an interim modernization of the council chambers to support meetings and recreation programs. Staff described replacing bolted wooden pew‑style seating with 40 stackable, ADA‑compliant chairs, acquiring six folding training tables and restoring hardwood floors. The estimated cost is $17,000; the town’s workers’ compensation JPA preapproved $9,000 and the remainder will be covered by existing public‑works facilities funds.
