Council Member Lisa Kane said the potential replacement is an unforeseen expense tied to aging facilities and noted staff will look for options that reduce cost. Parks staff said the options and cost estimates will be discussed again at the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and brought back to the council once available. Staff also told the council that cabin rentals will be affected in the near term due to the bathhouse issue; the city plans temporary restroom solutions and will not rent the cabins while repairs or replacement measures are determined.
The council voted unanimously to accept the Parks & Recreation staff report. Staff said they will return with cost estimates and recommended options for the council’s review.
