Polk County honors three behavioral health employees for 10, 15 and 25 years of service

The Polk County Board of Commissioners recognized three employees of the county behavioral health department during its Feb. 12, 2025 meeting.
A staff member told the board that all three honorees were present and introduced Ginny Borland for 10 years of service, Jack Skiles for 15 years and Lee Warren for 25 years. The staff member said, “We actually may have a record today. We have 3 people to recognize, and all 3 of them showed up.” Recipients exchanged brief remarks and thanks with commissioners and staff.
The recognitions were presented during the consent/announcements portion of the meeting; commissioners and staff praised the employees’ years of service and contributions to the county’s behavioral health work. The board did not take separate formal action on the recognitions beyond the public acknowledgment.
Board members and staff noted the courtesy of the honorees attending in person. The meeting continued to other agenda business after the awards.
