A nearby property owner, Collen Durin, expressed concerns about historical loss of garage access and potential impacts on her parking but did not ask the board to deny the renewal.
The board’s motion adopted staff findings that the request would not endanger public safety, would not alter the district’s essential character, and that the property provided adequate off-street parking. Commissioners voted in favor and the chair announced the motion carried.
The renewal is time-limited consistent with previous special exceptions; staff noted the UDC density limits and recommended continuing standard oversight.
