Tivoli trustees approve routine reports, set election date and schedule CDBG public hearing for Broadway sidewalk extension

The Village of Tivoli Board of Trustees approved two sets of minutes (Jan. 15 regular meeting and Feb. 12 workshop), accepted the treasurer's report showing $41,974.09 of general fund expenditures for the month, and moved to pay the village bills. All three administrative actions passed on board votes.
Deputy Clerk Bonnie Day provided routine office statistics: 520 trash tags sold, two payrolls processed, Planning Board assistance on Jan. 27, and an office closure for Presidents' Day on Feb. 17. She also announced the annual village election will be held Tuesday, March 19 from noon to 9 p.m. at the Tivoli Firehouse; voters will elect one mayor and two trustees to two‑year terms, and absentee ballot information was provided.
The board also announced a public hearing required for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application through Dutchess County. The village proposes continuing the sidewalk network up Broadway toward Monument Hill; the public hearing is scheduled for the next Wednesday meeting at 6 p.m. Trustees received and relayed routine building/zoning, justice court and police reports: building permits reviewed and issued, no zoning complaints; the justice court remitted $957.25 in surcharges (total remitted reported as $982); police reported 15 incidents in January, including two uniform traffic tickets, nine parking tickets and no arrests.
Board members used the agenda time for community reminders about parking rules, snow and ice removal responsibilities, and to note upcoming community events including a potluck and chili night.
