The Village of Tivoli Board of Trustees voted to accept a $38,500 donation from the Tivoli Fire Company and deposit the funds into the firehouse expansion capital reserve fund, and separately authorized a $38,500 engagement with Peter Sweeney Architects LLC (PSA) to prepare construction and bid documents for the expansion.
Trustees approved the donation and the architectural engagement during the board's February meeting. The board was told the PSA proposal estimated 3–4 weeks to complete the construction and bid documentation work.
The donation was described as proceeds from fund‑raising by the Tivoli Fire Company that will support completing a bid package for the firehouse expansion. The authorization to engage PSA directs staff to sign an agreement so the firm can begin preparing construction and bid documents.
The motions were approved by roll call. Deputy Mayor Major, Trustee Baldino, Trustee Schilling and Trustee Mangieri each voted in favor; the presiding mayor also recorded an aye.
