The York County Board of Supervisors adopted resolution R25‑29 on Feb. 18 to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Poquoson to adjust and relocate portions of the common boundary line between the two jurisdictions.
County counsel said the action follows earlier work and additional survey field work that corrected technical errors in prior plats. The adjustment is intended to eliminate properties split between jurisdictions by assigning parcels wholly to one jurisdiction or the other. Staff told the board the change will not physically move residents, affect polling places or change services for residents; Poquoson’s council was scheduled to consider the agreement separately and staff expected that body to ratify the companion action.
The board adopted R25‑29 by roll call vote (5–0). The county attorney said the agreement and plats are available in the board packet for public review.
