At the May 20 meeting the Ashland City Council modified the FY26 Miscellaneous Fees and Charges schedule. The council deleted the line "Per hour/per field charge," added a new subsection titled "Facility Usage," and adopted seasonal per‑organization rates for field usage: $300 for one day per week per season, $450 for two days per week, $600 for three to four days per week, and $750 for five to seven days per week for the 2025/2026 season.
Council also directed staff to delete the proposed fee increases for Pioneer Hall and the Community Center and to return a revised fee structure that considers affordability, potential lower or shared cleaning rates, and longer‑use discounts. That direction was made by motion (Kaplan second Bloom) and adopted by roll call vote.
Staff explained the increases were calculated based on anticipated utility and cleaning costs and a review of comparable regional rates. After the directive to staff, the council approved Resolution 2025‑09 adopting the miscellaneous fees schedule as amended; the roll call on the resolution showed Councilors Hansen, Kaplan, Dahle and Bloom voting yes and Councilor DuQuenne voting no.
