Council approved a resolution authorizing the sale of surplus city assets, including retired wire from past upgrades and long-held poly-line inventory. Public-works staff explained much of the material dated from older projects and that the yard contained items that had not been used for decades; some items are suitable for scrap sale while other salvageable parts were identified for reuse.
Council moved and carried a resolution authorizing staff to sell the listed surplus materials. Staff said proceeds would be returned to the appropriate city fund and the sale would reduce yard clutter and liability from decaying inventory.
