Board reviews job-description and evaluation-tool housekeeping updates

Becky Mader, assistant superintendent of human resources, presented two housekeeping changes July 7: a reporting-line change for the director of teaching and learning so the position's evaluation would be jointly conducted by the superintendent and the assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, and removal of McKinney-Vento responsibilities from the director of special services because they had been reassigned to the director of alternative learning.
Mader said the changes align evaluation instruments with the district's updated job descriptions. Draft evaluation tools for the director of teaching and learning and updates to the assistant superintendent's tool will return to the board for action at the next regular meeting.
Trustees had no substantive objections; the items were set for action at the next meeting.
