The University Heights City Council approved renewal of two Class C liquor licenses July 8 for the Marriott Bistro and the Marriott Heights Rooftop. City staff reported that applicants completed required online steps with the alcoholic beverages division, the police chief had run background checks and building/health/fire inspections were completed by the city inspector; staff recommended approval.
Councilmember Steph moved to renew the Marriott Bistro license and Councilmember Doug seconded; the motion carried 5-0. Council subsequently considered the Heights Rooftop renewal, and the council again approved renewal by the same margin.
No conditions beyond standard licensing requirements were recorded in the meeting minutes.
