The county recorded that the action is intended to allow Krim, who leads parole and probation, to remain in his role and continue receiving county pay while drawing retirement benefits under PERS.
Commissioners noted that bringing retirees back to work had been discouraged in the past but that maintaining Krim’s experience during recent structural transitions in community corrections made the rehiring appropriate. The motion passed on a recorded voice vote and the board signed the accompanying payroll resolution.
