The Logansport Historic Preservation Commission set a plaster workshop at the Memorial Home for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, and discussed registration, logistics and a modest participant fee.
Commissioners discussed instructor arrangements and suggested a registration fee in the $10–$15 range to encourage commitment while covering mileage and basic costs. The commission agreed on a morning session to include hands-on instruction and discussion of tools and materials; staff will use Eventbrite or similar to register participants and will publicize the event.
Separately, commissioners reported a community-organized lunch at Emmaus after the cancellation of a larger planned event. Local businesses donated hot dogs, pastries, root beer and confections; volunteers and commission members served a buffet to residents. Commissioners said they will send thank-you letters to donors and recognized the effort as an example of community support.
The commission also discussed scheduling a window workshop at a later date to maximize attendance and decided to pursue an October/November schedule for hands-on events.
