Council approves TownePlace Suites at Victory Coppell with parking exception and shuttle requirement

The Coppell City Council on June 10 approved a detailed plan amendment to PD 301 that allows a five‑story TownePlace Suites hotel to be constructed on Lot 7R2 of the Victory Coppell development and revises the concept plan for the remaining portion of Lot 6R2.

Planning staff said the proposal would combine Lot 7R and a portion of Lot 6R, enlarging Lot 7R2 to 2.46 acres and reducing Lot 6R2 to 0.88 acres. The hotel is proposed at 76,346 square feet with 131 rooms; under the revised plan Lot 6R2’s building footprint would shrink from roughly 13,800 square feet to about 6,250 square feet, staff said.
