The Permanent Public Building Committee approved an invoice July 7 from UTL Incorporated for May 2025 architectural services for the Library Phase 1 project in the amount of $4,984.50, charged to the architect's line item.
Hank reported that Tower Construction, the selected contractor, will begin on‑site construction in September after Labor Day. Design work continues this summer: the utilities consultant is preparing graphics for the teen space (a large graphic panel and glass signage) and staff are assembling bid packages for shelving and surrounds. Hank said shelving and many furniture items will be purchased from state contract lists, which reduces the need for separate competitive bidding. The furniture deliveries are scheduled for after full project completion (target mid‑February 2026).
The committee had no further comments on the invoice; votes to approve the invoice were by roll call.
