Madison County animal shelter again records 'no-kill' year and logs June intake, transfers and adoptions

Annette gave numbers for June: 12 strays, 11 owner surrenders, 13 transferred in, 5 reclaims, 28 adoptions and 9 transfers to rescue. She said the shelter currently had five dogs and five cats in-house and additional cats off-site in partner locations.
Annette said the shelter received a plaque recognizing its no-kill status and thanked staff and volunteers for achieving the standard for a third straight year. Board members congratulated the shelter during the meeting.
