Bland said local programs can fund training up to $10,000 per individual for short‑term credentials such as CDL or medical training, and that employer services and job seeker assistance are provided at no cost to counties. He also said the agreement has been periodically updated and the signature will run through 2030 under the current draft.
Action: The court moved to sign the interlocal agreement authorizing the judge to execute the document; the motion carried. Officials directed staff to file the updated agreement and incorporate local contact points for application intake and oversight.
Speakers encouraged the court to promote the program to residents who will be affected by changes to Medicaid eligibility and other workforce challenges so eligible individuals can receive training and placement services.
