Staff suggested contract awards could be considered in September and that the contractor's proposed start date would determine whether the pool could remain open through the next summer season or if construction would begin after Labor Day or the following September.
Council members acknowledged strong summer attendance and asked staff to provide clear timelines so council can weigh bid awards against pool availability for residents.
